Alice woke up with a terrible headache and hangover,yesternight she was so drunk that she didn't recall how she got home,she tried to recall but her headache worsened she groaned massaging her temples,she stood up and headed to the shower,after taking a shower she stood Infront of her mirror wrapped with a towel,she looked at her reflection of how miserable she looked.After Jacob broke up with her through a text message she had tried to call him but his phone was switched off,she had gone to his house but he wasn't there,she had waited for him for more than five hours but he still didn't show up,after realising the harsh truth she had been drinking most for the time to drown her sorrows she was in and out of the clubs like it was her office,she didn't tell her friends about their break up it was humiliating enough her boyfriend broke up with her through a text message if she told her friends she knew they will pretend to sympathise with her then mock her behind her back,she was prideful and she rather suffer in silent than be humiliated infront of her friends.She kept looking at her reflection of how pathetic she looked,she felt immerse heartache and sadness,Jacob was her first boyfriend after all,she had given him her everything and even did whatever he wanted her to do for him,she knew he was using her but she had hoped he loved her,"now it's time to wake up,he never and will never love you" she said talking to her reflection,she didn't remember what had happened or the man she had met, she didn't know that she had dug her grave.

Alice wore comfortable clothes and headed to the living room,she had refused to hire servants so she stayed all by herself "you're awake?" asked a man,Alice was started and turned to look at the person "dad" she called suprised,a man in his late fifties wearing a expensive suit stood near the staircase,he looked diplomatic "what are you doing here?" she asked,her father rarely visited her in her mansion and if he was visiting he called before visiting her "what am I doing here? can't I visit my daughter?" he asked back,he held a glass of wine in his hand,her daughter's driver had called him last night because she had passed out due to drinking,he had to spent the night there and wait for her "what have you been up to lately?" he asked taking a few steps towards her,he noticed her daughter's changed appearance and frowned "I'm asking a question" he said his voice a little harsh,Alice flinched "nothing" she replied "nothing?,do you remember how you got home?" he asked,Alice looked at her father nervously and said nothing,she knew it wasn't going to be a good idea to lie to his father he seemed to know what she had been doing "do you think I don't know you have been drinking all the time?you're spending money and time at the clubs like someone who is uncevilised and has no future,your driver has to carry you beacuse you're always wasted, just because you broke up with your boyfriend have you decided to ruin yourself?don't you know who's daughter you're?don't you care about my reputation if your pictures of you being drunk gets posted on the internet do you know what will happen?people will criticize me I might not even get voted again" he scolded, frustrated by her daughter's behaviour,Alice looked at her father tears in her eyes "what about me?do you care about me?dad I'm heartbroken what do you expect me to do?stay at home and be depressed? instead of comforting me you come all the way here to lecture me about my behaviour?is your career more important than me? for once can't you act like a father?" she said her voice cracking,the man sighed and hugged her daughter,he loved his daughter and couldn't stand seeing her in tears "you're important so is my career that's why you stay at home and enjoy yourself without working, I provide everything for you but dear if my career is ruined you will suffer too,if he left you that's his loss you're too beautiful to cry over a man, it's also good you two broke up if he was unable to become the CEO it means he isn't capable and trust me once they discover his lies he will loose everything" he said "what lies?" she asked curiously "it's better you don't know about it,soon he will regret leaving you,I have something to show you it might cheer you up" he said, Alice's eyes brightened "what dad?" she asked,her father took his phone and showed him a man's picture he was in his thirties,Alice looked at her father confused "he is a son of my friend,a very rich business tycoon,he has been living abroad since young and soon he will back to the country to celebrate his birthday,I want you to attend it on my behalf get to know him,he is a good boy and very hardworking I'm sure he can take care of you better than that bastard" he said "but dad..." Alice said hesitating,the man was good looking with a good background but she still loved her ex "no buts dear,many young ladies are trying to catch his attention I want him for you,if you two end up marrying I'm sure that good for nothing will regret his decisions,if he see you with him he will burn with jealousy" he said trying to persuade her daughter "beside if you two marry his family will fund my campaigns, I'll run for governor for the second term this is a good deal for both of us,you would never need to work everything will be given to you" he said."What if he doesn't like me back?" she asked,if it was going to make Jacob regret his actions she was willing to try,she couldn't wait to see him on his knees begging her forgiveness,"I trust you will be able to pull this off, it's for our own good,now you better start behaving yourself once he comes back you will attend his birthday party make sure you catch his attention about your marriage I'll talk with his parents" he said,Alice nodded her head and her father kissed her on her forehead"that's my girl" he said pleased with her daughter "tomorrow you should call me secretary I have a suprise for you" he said and Alice looked excited "what suprise?" "it's a suprise so I'm not supposed to tell you" he said and both chatted about random stuff.

Lucas stayed in the hospital for more few days and got discharged,it was his first time to be shot now he understood how the people he shot felt and he didn't like it,Jennie kept him company and took care of him most of the time,she didn't allow him to work or even allow him to use his laptop,she was like a parent monitoring her child but he didn't complain instead he liked it.Lucas was in his in car his driver driving him home,there were few cars following him secretly,though he felt happy to be discharged he kept on wondering why Jennie didn't come to pick him up at the hospital she had promised to pick him up,Jennie would spend most of her time at the hospital and once she headed home Lucas' friends would visit at night and discuss business,their relationship was far better and he wouldn't have minded being shot again as long as Jennie would take care of him.Jennie's pregnancy was becoming difficult and her morning sickness was worsening but she didn't dare to tell Lucas so as not to worry him,Lucas got home and headed to his villa and without knocking his nanny opened the door for him "welcome back Lucas" she said kissing him on his forehead,she treated Lucas as her son, after Lucas lost his parents she was always there for him and they grew closer,their relationship was special."Thanks nanny where is Jennie?" he asked looking around,he was dissapointed when he didn't see her waiting for him,"she is in her room she isn't feeling well" she said,Lucas looked at her alarmed,he quickly walked heading to their room,he pushed the door open and saw Jennie lying on the bed "Jennie" he called worriedly "she is sleeping leave her alone,she will soon wake up" her nanny who had followed him said,both walked out of the room and headed to the living room,Lucas sat on the couch looking depressed his excitement had completely disappeared,his nanny headed to the kitchen and brought him freshly squeezed orange juice "thanks" he said."Why is she still sleeping?" he asked "this morning she woke up to prepare your breakfast but she started feeling dizzy so I told her to go and rest" she explained "then this is serious we should take her to the hospital" he said worriedly he had read about pregnancies but still his knowledge wasn't deeper,he didn't even drink the juice in his hand,his nanny smiled "it's okay,it's nothing to worry about all pregnant women experience this it's normal,she had been feeling nausea and dizzy for a few days now" she said,"why didn't she tell me?" he asked confused,when she visited him he didn't notice anything unusual "she didn't want to worry you,every morning she would prepare all your meals even if she wasn't feeling well even today she prepared this juice for you,she wanted to come to the hospital but her morning sickness worsened that's why I told her to go and rest" she explained.After coming back she learned that Lucas had been shot everyday she was worried about him,she wanted to visit him at the hospital but she was unable to, when Jennie come back from the hospital she would update her about his recovery,now seeing him fully recovered she sighed in relief,Lucas felt warmth spread all over his body after learning how Jennie cared for him,he trusted his nanny's words and decided not to wake her,he decided to visit his grandfather he knew he was worried,after being shot his grandfather couldn't visit him because of his health issues,Jennie had visited him once to check up on him,he headed to the guest room his chest was still wrapped with a bandage,with a lot of difficulty he took a shower and headed to his grandfather's mansion but before he could reach his destination he received a call from Daniel "you need to come here right now" he said his voice urgent "what's wrong did you find something?" he asked "it's about your wife" he said,Lucas quickly took a U turn and increased his speed heading to their base,he quickly parked his car and hurriedly walked in ,he quickly pushed the door open and found his three friends waiting for him looking anxious,they all looked at him worriedly "what did you find?" he asked his voice dominant "you should see this" he said handing him his laptop,Lucas watched a few clips and text messages and clenched his fist,his aura turned murderous,the pressure coming from him made the other three feel suffocated,the air around them turned cold and tense he looked at Daniel his eyes cold and ruthless,Daniel trembled "Lucas I...." but before he could finish his sentence Lucas smashed his laptop on the ground shocking the three of them,Chris gulped hard he cherished his life and didn't dare to say a word ,Lucas tightly held Daniel's neck and squeezed it hard "how dare you" he asked.
