Chapter 29 He missed his scoldings

Miles stared at the large nylon bag in his hand before accepting it.

"I've been quite busy, the syllabus and schooling here are quite different from what I'm used to so I've been trying to catch up before the exams," he said.

"Okay, then I won't take too much of your time,"

"I'll walk you out," Miles said as he placed the side dishes on the table.

This past few months, he had noticed the change in Mason's father. He visited the house daily even with his busy schedule and talked to Mason for a bit before leaving. As days passed, Miles had become more open to him and hoped Mason would also accept him when he woke up.

He walked back to the room where Mason was and then sat next to him as he usually did.
