I can't go,
With my family beside,
I can't go out,
In search of You,
And thus I just close my eyes,
And pacifies my thirsty heart,
By remembering Your form so blue.
But do You know thy Lord?
This only increases my hankering,
For Your divine lotus Feet,
The longer I see, the longer I feel the bliss,
The longer I will smell the sweet,
The longer I will long to drink,
The real true nectar of Your lotus Feet.
I don't know what to do!
When this heart urges for You,
It feels almost as if I'm being mocked,
My subtle self can relish Your presence,
Whereas I cannot!
Do You know thy Lord?
Whenever I sing Your name,
My longing for You elevates,
Whenever I see and hear You,
My love for You increases,
Whenever I see Your lotus feet,
Even in Your pictures and deity,
Thirst for Your nectar accelerates.
I don't know what have occurred to me;
Anything else I don't desire to see.
For me the real nectar is You,
The fact now I know is so true;
That this heart have only pined for You,
Years after years, births after births.
Do You know thy Lord?
Even Your longing is depressingly delicious to heart,
It relishes the immense joy,
That I dance and sing Your holy name;
And yet being apart,
At the same time it burns in distress,
That I start crying with the tears of divine joy,
In hankering for You,
O thy Lord!
This foolish heart,
Then ends up asking —
Where are You?
