And Who Are You?

As soon as Roy dropped his phone on the work desk and lifted his gaze, Charles immediately delivered the report he had come with.

"His name is…"

Roy quickly put his hand up before he could hear the name. "I am not interested in the name. Hand the envelope to me," he instructed with a serious gaze.

Charles quickly passed the big brown envelope in his hands to him and watched as he accepted them to take a look.

Roy was silent for almost a minute before asking while taking a look at some photos, "How long has this been going on for?"

"A year. I think they first met the first time she went there to volunteer."

"I see why she asked for a little break… That's the reason she insisted on joining that team again," Roy nodded in understanding. He stared at the stack of photos in his hands one more time before putting them down.

In the first photo, a woman with chestnut hair was smiling while holding the hand of a man in a doctor's coat. And on the second photo that managed to offer a glimpse, the couple were staring lovingly into each other eyes while hugging intimately.

That was Rebecca Anderson in those photos with her doctor lover.

If Roy was shocked the first time he learned that his long-term girlfriend was not faithful in their relationship, he wasn't anymore.

"What do women want?" he couldn't help but ask.

Roy was tall, handsome, rich, famous and had a good personality. He believed that he was every woman's dream partner yet, the one woman he let into his life to be the envy of others cheated on him with a medical doctor from another city.

No matter how one listened to the story, it all sounded absurd. It was crazy.

In Charles' mind, he was thinking, 'Sir, I think women ask the same question about what men want.'

"At least she didn't do it with any of my close friends," Roy mumbled to himself.

The hurt and disappointment he felt surely couldn't be compared with the one Anna was facing. Her best friend and her boyfriend both betrayed her. He guessed that she must be wanting to spill their blood into the Atlantic Ocean.

Thinking for a while, Roy said to Charles, "I think I might not stay married for long."

Charles knew the angle he was coming from and where he was going with that, but did not seem to agree with him for certain reasons.

"Sir, I think you still have to continue your marriage with Miss Carter. You haven't successfully gotten your father off your back with the Prime Minister's daughter. You still need to prove the validity of your marriage to your wife."

This was a reminder for Roy to not make any decision in haste otherwise he might end up becoming someone else's remote.

Roy pushed the photos and the brown envelope to Charles. "I don't want to set my eyes on them. And I'm leaving back to the government house by 5:30 today."

"Sure, Sir. I will take my leave." Charles picked up the stuff he came with and stood up to leave.

Just as the door closed, Roy remembered Anna and picked up his phone to text her. 'Have you closed the case?'

Anna had just gotten home when she got his text and she quickly replied with, 'Yes. I just returned to the house.'

'I think I might have another proposal for you. Let's talk later tonight,' Roy texted back.

Though slightly confused and surprised at the same time, Anna replied with an 'Okay' before walking into the living area.

"Ma'am, what would you like to eat for lunch?" the servant asked as she took her bag before helping her to change out of her shoes.

"I don't have much of an appetite, so I will be fine with any dessert dish," Anna replied kindly.

By the time 5:30 pm reached and Roy left for his father's official house, the latter was already sitting in their private living room, waiting for him.

On the other hand, was sitting and watching the TV in the inner living area when an unexpected visitor showed up.

From the loud mezzo-soprano voice she could hear, she made the owner out to be a woman.

"Where is he?!" Anna managed to hear a clear sentence after straining her ear. 'Who is she?' she thought to herself with confusion masking her face. 'Is she asking about Roy?'

With the commotion which seemed to be coming from the entrance, Anna fell into a deep contemplation. She was wondering which of the two options 'sit and ignore everything and go out and take a look' would be a better idea.

Right where she was sitting, she was curious to know what was going on while at the same time, she didn't want to involve herself in matters that did not concern her.

But when she heard the threat, 'If you dare touch me again, I will call the police and sue you for assault!' from the woman, she knew she couldn't continue to sit around and avoid the situation as the mistress of Roy's home, so, she stood up and went out.

Coming out of the inner living room to the sitting area, Anna saw a woman dressed in jean shorts and a free top trying to push her way inside and furrowed her brows. "What is going on here?" she inquired, immediately turning her attention to herself as everywhere quietened down.

As soon as the woman heard that question from a calmer female voice, she turned to face the direction she heard the voice and saw Anna standing there with a look of confusion on her face.

She could attest to the fact that the younger woman had good looks like her, but that's not what she was there for.

Sing the opportunity of the divided attention, she pushed her way through and rushed towards Anna with a fierce gaze. "You are that woman?" she asked as her gaze ran down Anna with the speed of lightning.

"And who are you?" Anna tried to ask politely but failed given that the woman stranger was rude to her first.

Hearing that question, the woman scoffed and flung her straight chestnut hair to the back and answered with a proud gaze and her arms crossed below her chest, "I am Dr. Rebecca Anderson, Roy's girlfriend and who are you?"
