"We are here to save Prince Fredrick, but why do I think we are seeing more than we are digging." Marianne says as she and the crown prince walks away from the bead woman.

"It seems that there's more to this situation than meets the eye," the crown prince says thoughtfully. "I wonder if Princess Charlotte is merely putting on a facade, or if there's something more serious at play here."

"What do you mean?" Marianne asks, intrigued.

"The princess's behavior has always struck me as odd, since I've been hearing about her. I can't help but wonder if perhaps she is suffering from some kind of mental illness. She doesn't seem normal. And I think..."

"The emperor may be using her condition to his advantage, for whatever reason?" Marianne completed for her.

"But what could the emperor's motive be?" Marianne asks, deep in thought. "Why would he want to manipulate the princess in this way? Also, to trap Prince Frederick."
