Dread City

After completely decimating the Murder Train they took their horses and headed back to the Oasis. "Brick when we get back I have something for you. But once I give it to you I think it would be best if you rebuild somewhere else abandoned the town" Brick stared at him in surprise. "Abandon the town? Why would we do that? We have homes built there and a foundation" Red shook his head. "If you stay your town will only be targeted for retribution. What I suggest is for the safety of you and the people that remain" Brick shook his head, but didn't say another word. They arrived back at the town. The survivors worked on mending houses and gathered supplies into one location to provide for all. Serena stood at a clothes line and was hanging up wet clean clothes. With blankets and sheets lined up next to it.

She waved at Brick who dismounted from his horse and walked over embracing her into a hug. "Glad you're safe. Were you successful?" Brick nodded. "Murder Train is no more. They killed them all. To be honest I got two of them and that was mostly self defense. They did all the work. I can't take credit" he turned to look at Red Demon. "Not that your offer wouldn't be appreciated, but taking charity from you would diminish what you all did back there. Why should I be rewarded when I was barely any help" Red Demon chuckled. "Who led us there? Who fought here and buyed time for my arrival? I didn't do those things. You did. Your people deserve to start over. Plus I'm richer than I look so please" a large bag appeared in your hands. "Take it and run from this place. This Captain James will come looking for this. And avenge his men, and I can't protect you whilst I have another mission" he jingled the bag. Brick nodded and took it, holding it to his side. "King's Test then?" Red Demon nodded. "It is my duty as King Slayer. And I have business with Dread City. Tell me by chance you know anything about this Ghost Demon?" Brick smirked. "Ah so you intend to recruit? I only know rumors about the outlaw Ghost Demon. He is ruthless, cunning, and dedicated. He killed the commander of the Battle Dragons, crippling them. He has been nothing but a headache lately freeing slaves from the arena" Brick paused. "You know I commend him on what he has done. I used to hear chatter from people passing through. Done a lot of good, but he has done a lot of bad as well. Be wary of finding him" Brick warned. "Honestly everything you just said is what I'm looking for. So I shall seek him out, but thank you for the warning" he extended a hand. Brick took it and shook it.

"May you find peace" Red Demon gestured to his companions and walked towards the horses. Brick and Serena watched as they rode out of town. "So we're heading to the King's kingdom?" Smiling. Red only nodded, "Should I find an inn I could use a bath and a hot meal. How far is it?" Sun asked. Red Demon was studying a map triangulating from the town as a waypoint and had his compass out. "Seems we're not far from the city, looks like a five hour ride?" He folded the map up with his compass putting into a dimensional pocket in his belt.

Ghost Demon was running across a rooftop and jumping down into an alleyway. He phased through the wall and came out into a factory warehouse. Machinery moved about as they worked on conveyor belts working on each part giving it a spark from a welder on its arm. He hugged the shadows and kept moving till he could hear voices. "Yeah just put it in lock up. When you're done move the crates to storage" one man said. Tonight he was investigating a tip that the King had cooked up a new weapon that he was going to test out on slaves in the arena tomorrow. He had to act quickly and either destroy the weapon. Or he could take it and use it against the king himself. The problem lies that he really didn't know what he was searching for. He wasn't sure if the weapon was a firearm, sword, or it could even be something he had never seen before. Either way he had to find it and get rid of it and with the heat increasing on him with his enemies. He needed to cripple them somehow and the best way is to take the toys they plan to use.

The foreman who was walking about inspecting shipments and product quality was finally alone. It was quiet minus the working machines and sparks that would light up the lit factory with bright flashes. Ghost Demon quickly grabbed the man in a choke hold and pulled him into the shadows. He phased them both through a wall and were alone in an enclosed space. He threw the man down who quickly panicked and went for the door. It was locked from outside and quickly turned. He threw a fist at Ghost Demon who merely dodged. He drove a fist into the man's gut to get the situation under control. The man keeled over and coughed trying to catch his breath.

"Please I have a family. I need to be there for them" the man pleaded. Ghost Demon had no intention of torturing the man or even killing him. He knelt down, meeting him at eye level. "Take a deep breath" the man looked puzzled and Ghost Demon nodded at him to do as he said. The man took a deep breath in and out calming his nerves. "Are you relaxed now?" Ghost Demon asked. The foreman was silent when he nodded, which pleased Ghost Demon. He stood back up over him and crossed his arms. "What's your name?" Ghost asked, pulling up a crate and taking a seat while the man was still kneeling on the concrete. "David..." the foreman answered. "David. I am the Ghost Demon and I'm sure you have heard rumors of me. Which are all true minus one thing. I am not into killing those who are innocent. I did my background on the employees here. None have any history of being criminals, just regular folk working hard to provide for their families. Now I have no intention of disrupting that, but I will need your cooperation. Think you can do that for me?" David was silent. "I don't know if I can even help you. I may be a supervisor, but I am still at the bottom of the totem pole" Ghost nodded at this. He was not wrong right now the big wigs were at a party for the king who was working on public relations after the sabotages he orchestrated on the King of late. So he knew all in here were regular people and none were cultivators. Instead they relied upon mechanical security and traps to keep all secrets from seeing the light. "I know this factory manufactures weapons for the army from ammunition to vehicle parts. So what I want is to know what the latest new weapon is called and where is it? I want you to think of one thing before you answer. Your asking yourself will he kill me if I answer or will he kill me if I don't. Answer. Either answer your walking out of here unscathed. So knowing that" he pointed to him to answer.

David wiped sweat from his brow and seemed to feel defeated. "I only know what I have heard in passing. That is all and I don't know if the weapon is even here. This factory is mainly for what you said, ammunition and vehicle parts. But there is a secret wing underground I don't have access to?" Ghost Demon perked up and then patted David's shoulder. "Thank you David" he then led the man to the wall.
