Chapter 9: : Return( part 2)

"Welcome back, dear Xiaoxi Ye. Oh, my mistake, I should address you as Lord Xiye now!"

As soon as I teleported, I didn't have time to recover from the mental discomfort caused by the spatial jump when I heard a voice, both familiar and strange, ringing out. Xiye looked up, and there was a glint in his eyes. This person had been with him for longer than he had spent with his own parents, but after ten thousand years, she hadn't changed at all. It was as if time had left no mark on her.

Actually, he wasn't surprised. The lifespan of the gods was incredibly long. Once their genes were fused, they could live for millions of years without evolving. Those gods with vast territories and the beliefs of hundreds of millions of people could even measure their lives in epochs.

"Teacher Jarod!!!" Xiye bowed respectfully.

The incredibly beautiful woman in front of him looked at Xiye with satisfaction. "Very well, young one. You've become stronger, and your eyes show maturity. It seems like this journey has trained you well."

Experience? In the face of the teacher's eloquent words, Xiye felt quite speechless. He had only been involved in planet development for a few months. Before that, he had been cooped up on the spaceship for thousands of years. What kind of experience did he have? Was reaching 800 points in League Glory considered experience?

Several players behind Xiye looked at Xiye's teacher with stunned expressions. Even though two of them were female players, they were taken aback by the beauty of the being in front of them.

Since Xiye had never been able to see his own appearance with his helmet on, he didn't react at all when he saw the second appearance of the Celestial Clan. They were all in awe of the game's modeling.

And the surrounding scenery, the attention to detail – who said this was an unfinished product?

The reception area of each school was usually lavishly decorated, let alone the reception area of the First Federal College. As a native of D-Ball, Xiye was experiencing such cosmic luxury for the first time. It felt like heaven!

"I'm finally back!" Xiye looked at the familiar surroundings and suddenly felt a sense of nostalgia. He had returned to the First Federal College at last!

The Tenjin Group Academy was the only place in the universe with Tenjin lineage genes. Since its establishment during the Million Era, it had stood for millions of eras, and its status had never been shaken.

Since the Million Era, the academy had nurtured countless gods and lords, and the territory of the Tenjin family stretched across the entire universe. In terms of resources, technology, population, and internal job opportunities, they had made significant contributions to the entire Federation.

So far, it was the only pathway for the Federation's citizens to become lords.

The conditions for entry into the Tenjin Academy were extremely demanding. First and foremost, one needed money. The initial deposit alone was one billion Tenjin coins, and tuition fees for tens of thousands of years could bankrupt a large family.

Furthermore, a family needed to be recommended by at least three star lords to secure a place for their children. The elimination rate was extremely high. The biggest issue was that if you were eliminated, the one billion deposit wouldn't be refunded.

With such stringent application requirements, millions of applicants still signed up on admission day. This was a testament to the deeply rooted injustices in the Federal College, with the academy raking in soft money every year as families deposited their money.

A billion Tenjin coins might sound like a substantial sum, but compared to the tuition fees for the next tens of thousands of years, it was insignificant. Xiye's family was a middle-class family that had fallen into the pit.

The Eldia family, to which Xiye belonged, was an ancient family with a history of more than one epoch in the Federation. Their heritage ran deep, spreading across dozens of galaxies by the time of his father's generation. They were known for their high-purity Thunder Clan lineage, and their family members had always been the target of many lords.

As for Xiye, he had displayed exceptional aptitude from a young age and was hailed as the future light of the family. Originally, he was destined to inherit the family's genes and become an excellent Thunder Warrior. The Eldia family had been nurturing a god, so after several family meetings, they ultimately decided to send him to the Tenjin Group Academy.

To be honest, it was one of the most unsuccessful investments in the family's history, before they discovered D Planet.

Lord Xiye recalled the challenging past, his expression heavy. He had doubted countless times over his ten thousand years in the universe whether the hefty investment in his education had been worth it. While he was studying, his siblings had already achieved great things – some became Thunder Clan warriors, while others became adept Night Demons. They seemed to be thriving, especially his older cousin Ren, who served a regional commander on a fifth-level planet under a prominent lord. He brought great benefits to the family, attracting many younger generations willing to join the military.

In contrast, Xiye, once hailed as the brightest descendant of the Eldia family, had only provided financial strain to his family during his ten-thousand-year education. After his graduation, he had failed to contribute to the family in any significant way. He even worked as a bodyguard for Goblin bosses every year, sending ten thousand coins to his mother for family expenses.

This was also why many impoverished lords chose not to return, even if it meant certain death. Their families had invested so much in them. If they couldn't come back with achievements, they would rather die in the universe than return home and face scorn.

"Oh?" The female teacher noticed a few players behind Xiye and exclaimed, "Impressive Green Titans. Did you breed them, Xiye?"

"Oh, they're indigenous to my planet. I've selected a few highly qualified individuals who I intend to groom as key players," Xiye replied, maintaining his composure.

"Key players?" The eyes of several players lit up as they secretly thought, really?

Their countless hours of effort might finally pay off!

The teacher, however, frowned. "What did I teach you about resource management during your basic courses? In the early stages of entrepreneurship, you must utilize resources efficiently. Although the Green Titans have prestige, the Thunder and Bronze families are more cost-effective with the same resources. Just 10,000 years of tuition would have brought your family significant returns. Have you taken to heart what I taught you?"

"Teacher, you are absolutely correct. I have been a bit forgetful," Xiye quickly admitted his mistake.

Upon hearing this, the thousands of players looked a little dazed. Wasn't the knowledge learned in school supposed to last for only half a year in the real world? And was it really necessary to use a term like "ten thousand years"?

"Are you here to request a loan this time?" Jarod asked about Xiye's family situation with great enthusiasm.

Most of the students who chose interstellar travel came to request loans for the first time. If a family had the money, they wouldn't opt for this path. Impoverished travel, known as "poor man's tourism" among the Tianshen race, was mostly for those who couldn't afford tuition.

"Yes," Xiye nodded.

"What will you use as collateral?" Jarod asked with a smile while secretly assessing the student's potential.

"An eighth-level life planet," Xiye answered truthfully.

Class F! Jarod mentally ranked the value. His initial reaction was friendly, but as a response, his face became more skeptical. An eighth-level planet was considered better than a ninth-level one because the latter would require a lengthy process to adapt local residents to the environment for thousands of years.

"Is there d-level energy ore on the planet?" Xiye added.

"Oh?" A planet with high-grade mines? Jarod's expression brightened, and he raised Xiye's evaluation to level D.

With two successive rank increases, Xiye's potential value rose in Jarod's estimation. Jarod now held the belief that Xiye could not only secure a loan but also do so with much larger sums. The energy ores in short supply within the Federation commanded high prices, ensuring a steady income for Xiye.

No wonder they could afford to nurture the Green Titans so extravagantly.

"Tell me about the population capacity of your indigenous inhabitants," Jarod inquired with an attentive look.

"It's about three percent," Xiye replied conservatively.

"That's incredibly high!!!" Jarod's eyes widened, thinking to herself that this guy was not half bad. With a planet that had energy ores and such high-quality natives, it was a perfect start!

Class B!

After yet another boost to Xiye's potential value, Jarod's expression became even more friendly.
