20. The Die is Cast! (9)

Killing doesn't necessarily have to fall under the strictly defined legal, physiological, or physical realms; it can also occur on a psychological level.

There's no need to sever heads or spill rivers of blood. By simply resetting the information within a person's brain to zero, one can fundamentally erase their personality.

The foundation of personality is an accumulation of memories and information. Compared to the physical body, the human consciousness is much more delicate and fragile. Once destroyed, there is no possibility of restoration. In this regard, erasing a personality can obliterate a person more thoroughly than destroying their body. If you can replace and implant a new personality, it might serve some unexpected purposes. In terms of efficiency, psychological murder is indeed more effective than physical murder.

The above statement can theoretically be valid, but it is not easy to implement in practice.
