10. BABEL (Twelve)

When it comes to the diplomatic policy toward the Ros United Duchy, the Duke of Marlboro is an unwavering proponent of alliance—a stance so resolute that one could hardly imagine that, for decades prior, the Duke was firmly anti-Duchy.

This should neither be surprising nor unacceptable. Albion's national policy has always been guided by pragmatism. To them, there are no true friends, only accomplices or enemies. Depending on necessity, an enemy can become an accomplice, and an accomplice can turn into an enemy. Interests alone are real and eternal.

Thus, when a rising power emerges, posing a threat that dwarfs all previous adversaries, this nation will immediately seek an alliance with past foes instead of dwelling on bygone grievances, or the character and reliability of these new allies.

With such a national disposition, it is unsurprising that Albion and the Duchy would come together, nor does it come as a shock that the Duke's stance has shifted.
