The group listened as Shiying suggested that the monster was human, though the majority found the idea preposterous. Yang Yao spoke slowly, "How could a person possess the abilities of that monster?"

Shiying's face flushed slightly, "I was just making a wild guess. Don't hold it against me."

Shen Yue remained noncommittal about whether the monster was human and looked towards Shi Tuo and Wang Shuangquan.

Wang Shuangquan knelt by the fire, shivering uncontrollably—surprisingly, he was still conscious. But upon seeing Shen Yue and the others, he seemed to have been frightened out of his wits and couldn't utter a single word.

Shi Tuo had fainted once again.
