Chapter 585: No Choice

"I can't go on, I really can't," Feng Niang whispered in his ear.

Her face had long turned ashen, merely two breaths away from death, with blood continually pouring out from her mouth.

"Please, don't." Ye Chen, still not fully recovered from the death of Ling'er, tried to tranfuse his internal energy into her.

Feng Niang smiled faintly, exhausting her last bit of strength to say, "There are some things you can't avoid just because you wish to. You can't run away from this, if you really wish for everything to settle down, you must unify the Wastelands." His energy infusion, however, had no effect.

Ye Chen held his head in his hands, believing that everything was his fault. Perhaps if he hadn't appeared, none of these things would have happened.

Feng Niang looked at Wan Danrong, whose eyes were already filled with tears, and said, "Rong'er, don't cry. It's okay. Everything will be fine."

"It's all my fault. If Mother hadn't protected me, you wouldn't be like this."
