Chapter 46: The End of the Journey

Su Yu unleashed a snarl as he stepped forth, swinging his left arm dramatically. From the depths of the river echoed a shrill, infant-like wail. Flesh and blood mixed with water sprayed from his "Rending Claw." Su Yu flipped his palm and with a thump, he flung something onto the riverbank from the water.

The crowd watched as a half-segmented creature resembling a fish or a snake hit the ground. The part that Su Yu's Rending Claw had touched was minced into a mess, but the rest of its body, which bore a clear, river-like color, was incredibly bizarre. This creature fell onto the riverbank and its body began changing color, blending into the hues of the earth and stones. It was unnoticeable unless one looked closely.

Su Yu quickly fished out the other half of the creature from the river. Similarly, once it touched the bank, it gradually changed from its clear, river-like color to match the color of the stones and earth.
