Chapter 53: Sweeping

The mayor's office and living space was the town hall in this small town. After no one watched over them, the two guards guarding the entrance felt dejected and sat on the ground.

Violet bypassed them, even though she wanted to find something in the town hall, she couldn't just blatantly steal in broad daylight.

Doing so would simply be too outrageous. So Violet casually floated past them, like she was out for a stroll, just happening to pass by.

This small town didn't have high walls or barriers. Along the wall of the town hall, Violet looked around and when she saw no pedestrians on the street, she seized Kars by the collar and hopped into the backyard of the town hall.

This was where the mayor's carriage and the horses needed for his trips were kept.

However, even though Violet had thought through various possibilities, she still hadn't anticipated who she would meet once she scaled the wall.
