Chapter 374: Campsite in the Wilderness

None of this made any sense to the local thugs.

Halse made his way through the abandoned mercenary camp, a place that had long been forsaken and had hardly seen any mercenaries for a while.

His target was the stronghold of those thugs.

He brazenly walked onto their turf, a somewhat risky move at this hour.

Yet, if he wanted to go undetected -

He had no other choice or path to take, as far as Halse was concerned, he only had the option to sneak through in the dead of this impenetrably dark night.

This way, he wouldn't attract the attention of unrelated people.

It also allowed him to better dodge the probable spies sent by the Mercenary Guild.

So when he clearly identified his target and moved towards it, a burning bonfire came into his view.

A few people were sitting around the fire, cheering and reveling joyously.

Though Halse did not understand what they were celebrating, it was evident that on this night, they were having a good time.
