Every situation had long since become devoid of anything worth considering or judging by anyone.
If he wanted to back down at this time, he would have no further concerns over the matter.
Isn't the situation just like what one sees on the surface?
He was gradually beginning to understand what kind of situation he was seeing before him. He was starting to realize what an awful state of affairs he was facing.
His understanding of the problem before him, and what he himself felt might be the right interpretation of that problem.
Sometimes, there was simply no need for any further, worthwhile issues to confront, no need for more judgment worth remembering, or for matters worth understanding by people.
Shouldn't the situation be as apparent as what he saw before him, presenting a basic recognition or understanding of events?
Why bother with any further inappropriate thoughts or deeper considerations about the problem?
