Violet's attitude was just so straightforward when facing things at that time.
Many people think they can come up with what they believe to be more reliable solutions when facing what lies before their eyes.
Or perhaps, when facing what's presently before them, there's no longer a need to have much personal concern for the issue at all.
But I can't just face what Violet has said so breezily, and act as if I can so calmly accept everything she's expressed.
So the situation simply presents itself in a very straightforward manner within the scene unfolding before everyone's eyes.
