The monster faced the torch before it with not the slightest trace of fear.

There was no panic regarding the events it witnessed; flames were merely useful for dispersing some predators that acted upon instinct alone.

For this lizard, it had long since evolved an intelligence that was not inferior to that of humans, exceedingly sophisticated.

To itself, whatever you may be, it felt no fear, nor did it feel exposed or unsafe in the darkness upon seeing this object.

Further consideration of any other questions was, in fact, not of particular concern or deemed necessary by most people.

It seemed as though the situation was, on the surface like the initial encounters, something very simple.
