Marriages between the Everbloom and Grimspell families were a rarity, their elemental differences emphasizing the uniqueness of their bond. The Grimspell family, previously aligned with the Hughes, now gravitated toward the Elderbloom family. The Elderbloom family was the most respected family not only in the guild but also among the citizens of the continent. Everbloom family usually viewed everyone as equals and treated them in the same way. But after Sigrid's and Oliver's marriage, the Grimspell family used it as an excuse to get closer to the Elderbloom family. The Grimpell family's strategy was indeed successful because of Oliver's standing in his family and the favouritism Elder Aldis showed to both Oliver and Sigrid. As a consequence, the Hughes family now had no support in their feud with the Bigge family. The Bigge family finally started fighting back against Hughes for influence in the guild.
