Sigrid Grimspell and Oliver Everbloom (4)

Sigrid had expressed to Oliver on more than one occasion that she quite liked fighting against Jerome, mostly because he always gave his all and never held back even while fighting women. Unknown to Sigrid herself these fights had left a profound imprint on her. Jerome's overwhelming frame coming aggressively towards Sigrid would cause the adrenaline rush through her body making her feel alive like nothing else would. Sometimes feelings of submission and surrender would invade her mind in waves when fighting against this beast of a man leaving her with an intoxicating effect. Fear of what would happen in a real fight would sometimes invade her consciousness, a burning cocktail of emotions that stirred within her when she faced this beast of a man. Throughout their years at the academy, Sigrid couldn't quite grasp the full meaning of these emotions and feelings - she just thought it was simply the thrill of the fight.

As they graduated from the academy and embarked on their 7-year-long journey across distant continents and confronted life-and-death challenges, Sigrid and Oliver's bond grew stronger. leaving their past shadows behind made them forget about their life back in the Guild. It was then, that Oliver proposed to Sigrid, offering a relic ring of the Everbloom family—a magical heirloom that symbolized eternal commitment and carried mysterious magical powers. It was at this exact moment that their destinies intertwined, forging an unbreakable connection that bound their souls for all eternity. As they travelled side by side, a profound transformation overcame them. Through the myriad of their shared experiences, they not only learned to fight as a seamless unit but also unravelled the intricacies of one another's beings. Their journey into adulthood was not solitary but a shared experience, each challenge and triumph strengthening their bond as a couple. They delved deep into their hearts, sharing their most intimate emotions and feelings, a connection that bestowed upon them a wisdom far beyond their years. Together, they supported each other's strengths and defended each other's weaknesses becoming a force to be reckoned with.

The moment they returned to the guild, everybody including Jerome felt that while fighting together they would put up a fight against any family head. In the sanctified halls of the Everbloom chapel, their commitment to each other was consecrated in a union that sent ripples across the Netarasia continent. Marriages between the Everbloom and Grimspell families were a rarity, their elemental differences emphasizing the uniqueness of their bond. Both hailing from families of great prominence, their union heralded a significant shift in the guild's power dynamics. The Grimspell family, previously aligned with the Hughes, now gravitated toward the Elderbloom family. The Elderbloom family was the most respected family not only in the guild but also among the citizens of the continent. They were healers who not only supported fighters in wars but also helped sickly citizens. The beloved Everbloom Aldis was also the Elder of the guild, which meant that every decision of the continent and the guild had to go through him. Everbloom family usually viewed everyone as equals and treated them in the same way. But after Sigrid's and Oliver's marriage, the Grimspell family used it as an excuse to get closer to the Elderbloom family. The Grimpell family's strategy was indeed successful because of Oliver's standing in his family and the favouritism Elder Aldis showed to both Oliver and Sigrid. As a consequence, the Hughes family now had no support in their feud with the Bigge family. The Bigge family finally started fighting back against Hughes for influence in the guild. This sequence of events led to what happened last night to Oliver, Sigrid and Jerome.
