Inside the ring, Daniels looked across at Sandro. He knew exactly who he was up against, not just the man, but the machine behind him that stood at his corner as well. The referee stepped between them, checked both competitors ensuring they were ready, and then, with a nod, pointed to the timekeeper for the bell.
DING DING DING.
The crowd surged.
The two circled, slowly, cautiously, sizing each other up.
Daniels went in first with a collar and elbow tie up, trying to test Sandro's strength, but Sandro responded with a clean technical arm drag. Daniels rolled through and reset.
Another lock up, this time Daniels transitioned to a headlock, grinding down. Sandro backed him into the ropes and shoved him off, Daniels ran the ropes, leapfrogged over Sandro, turned and—
Dropkick!
Right to Sandro's jaw.
The crowd cheered.
Daniels immediately followed up with a knee drop and went for a quick cover, one! kickout!
Sandro popped to his feet with no wasted movement. He ducked Daniels' next strike and fired off a combo—sharp elbow to the ribs, spinning back kick to the thigh, then a snap suplex.
He floated over into a cover.
One.
Daniels kicked out.
Just barely, but it was enough to spark the crowd again.
Mike Tenay's voice lit up over commentary. "Fast pace right out of the gate! Both men came to work tonight, Don. This has the makings of an instant classic."
Don West, ever the emotional firebrand, leaned in.
"This isn't just two great wrestlers, Mike, this is the Fallen Angel versus the Kingmaker. Sandro wants to take everything here in TNA, and Daniels is fighting for the legacy of the brand itself!"
Back in the ring, Sandro rose first. His face, calm but focused, betrayed no frustration. He respected Daniels too much to expect this would be easy.
Daniels was already getting up, clutching his jaw. Sandro ran to the ropes and charged with a basement dropkick to the side of Daniels' ribs. The force sent Daniels tumbling to the corner, where Sandro followed up with a stiff running knee to the face. Then he backed up, snapmare, followed by a brutal penalty kick to Daniels' back.
Sandro went for the pin again.
One... Two... kickout!
Daniels was feeling it now.
Sandro took a moment, rising to his feet and circling around Daniels like a lion stalking an injured antelope. But Daniels wasn't done. He grabbed Sandro's trunks and pulled himself up using the ropes.
Sandro came at him again but Daniels dropped down and sent Sandro flying through the ropes and crashing outside to the floor!
Tenay was going crazy when he saw this, "Daniels just bought himself time, and you can feel the crowd responding! He's not going down easy!"
Daniels used the ropes to steady himself as the referee started counting.
One!
Sandro shook off the fall, already rising.
Two!
Daniels ran, bounced off the ropes!
Three!
And launched himself over the top with a tope con hilo, flipping through the air and crashing onto Sandro with pinpoint precision!
The crowd erupted.
Daniels kipped up immediately, slapping his chest and roaring to the fans, who chanted, "TNA! TNA! TNA!*
West can't hold himself in his seat as he saw this, "He's not just surviving, he's fighting back with fire, Mike! That's vintage Christopher Daniels!"
Daniels rolled Sandro back into the ring and climbed to the apron. Springboard attempt, he went for a crossbody, caught in midair by Sandro!
The strength in Sandro's legs was insane. With one fluid motion, he transitioned Daniels into a powerslam position and planted him with a devastating Spinning Powerbomb!
One! Two! Kickout!
Sandro exhaled slowly, adjusting the wrist tape on his right hand. Then he grabbed Daniels by the neck, pulling him up and delivering a hard European uppercut, followed by another. He whipped Daniels to the ropes, Daniels reversed, Sandro ducked under the clothesline, rebounded, and Sandro was hit face first with a spinning back elbow from Daniels!
Daniels staggered, then seized the opening. A palm strike! Then another! He hoisted Sandro up and executed a smooth Death Valley Driver, spiking Sandro squarely in the middle of the ring.
Cover!
One! Two! NO!
"Both men pulling deep from their arsenals! This is a war of attrition!" Tenay held his head with both of his hands.
Daniels now took a moment to breathe. Sweat dripped from his brow. Sandro was down, clutching his lower back. Daniels signaled to the crowd, it was time to go high risk.
He ascended the top rope with the precision of a man who'd done this a thousand times.
He stood tall.
Best Moonsault Ever!
NO! Sandro rolled out of the way!
Daniels hit the mat hard. The thud echoed through the Impact Zone. Sandro, despite his pain, capitalized immediately, locking Daniels in a modified Koji Clutch, wrenching at the head and shoulder.
The crowd gasped. Daniels squirmed. He pushed, struggled, his leg twitching toward the ropes.
West was amazed by the submission move he saw, "That's a submission we haven't seen from Sandro before! He's evolving right before our eyes!"
Daniels clawed, inch by inch, and finally draped a boot across the bottom rope.
The ref forced the break.
Sandro broke clean, but not before applying a final crank to send a message.
Daniels rolled to the corner, dazed.
Sandro stood, panting. He knew he had the momentum now. He slapped his chest, pointed to the top turnbuckle, and the crowd's booing intensified.
He ran and leapt, hit the turnbuckle with one smooth motion, then fell backward!
Top System Cutter!
Daniels, at the last possible second, caught him mid spin and transitioned into a crossface! The counter was jaw dropping!
Both Tenay and West were so shocked and amazed by what they saw, that both of them jumped from their seat.
"Incredible! What a reversal! Daniels just flipped the match upside down!"
"This is a classic, Mike! A five star match if I've ever seen one!"
The ref asked Sandro if he wanted to tap.
Sandro didn't answer, he grunted. Then began shifting his hips, dragging his frame with sheer core strength toward the ropes.
Centimeter by centimeter.
He stretched—
And made it.
The ref called for the break.
Daniels held the hold till the four count, knowing he'd need every second to wear Sandro down.
Both men lay on the mat, exhausted. The crowd was now split. Some still booed, others now started chanting:
"This is awesome! Clap clap! This is awesome! Clap clap! This is awesome! Clap clap!"
Daniels got to his knees first. Sandro rose too. They stared at each other through sweat drenched hair.
Then the fists started flying.
Daniels with a forearm!
Sandro with a slap!
Daniels with a chop!
Sandro with a headbutt!
Daniels fired a knee!
Sandro ducked and hit a Pele kick from nowhere!
Daniels collapsed.
"How does he pull that off at this stage of the match?!" Tenay slammed his right hand on the table.
West hearing that responded to Tenay, "Because he's a monster, Mike! The Undisputed System isn't just a faction, it's also a spirit and message!"
Sandro stood, wiping the blood from the corner of his lip.
He ascended the top turnbuckle again.
No hesitation.
DOWNFALL DDT.
He soared through the air, snatching Daniels mid rise with his devastating finisher that planted his skull flush against the mat.
BOOM.
The crowd went silent.
Sandro hooked the leg.
One.
Two.
THREE.
The bell rang.
DING DING DING.
The arena exploded with boos, but not without respect.
The ring announcer made it official.
"Here is your winner… SANDRO ZHANGGGG!"
Tenay leaned back into his chair, "That was one of the best matches I've called in years. And I've seen it all."
"We just watched the next phase of wrestling's future unfold, Mike. Sandro proved tonight he's not just part of the game, he is the game." West nodded his head in agreement.
Sandro rolled off Daniels and sat up, breathing heavily, eyes distant, calm, but cold.
Alexa slid into the ring and knelt beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder and giving him a microphone.
The rest of the Undisputed System joined them, standing behind their leader as he slowly stood to his feet and stood in the center of the ring, Alexa beside him, and the rest of the Undisputed System behind him.
Sandro cleared his throat, breathing deeply as the mic felt cold and heavy in his hand. The crowd's boos didn't faze him. He tilted his head back, eyes scanning the rows of fans in the arena, and began to speak, each word slow, precise, flat with emotion, but carrying an unmistakable conviction.
"I have just shown that I can go toe to toe," he said, voice low and controlled, "not only with powerhouses… technical juggernauts… hard-hitters… but even with a real high flyer like Christopher Daniels. And before you say it, no, Kofi to me is not a high flyer."
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle. Daniels meanwhile slipped out of the ring and limped up the ramp as he looked behind him, head held in pain.
The crowd's reaction grew louder, a chorus of "Undisputed" boos, but Sandro barely blinked.
"Now here's the thing you all hypocrites won't admit," he continued. "You didn't tune in tonight for the show. You didn't tune in to watch Christopher Daniels, or even to see me in my shining glory. I No." He stepped forward, putting more emphasis on each phrase.
"You tuned in because you wanted one thing: to know what do I put my sight on, as my fellow Undisputed System Members already have their own title in sight."
That drew more noise, mostly loud boos and jeers, but some murmurs of acknowledgement as well.
He smiled but there was no warmth in it. Only cold satisfaction.
"You hypocrites talk on Twitter," he said, eyes drifting upward toward the titantron screen. "On every forum. Speculating if I put my eyes on the TNA Tag Team title, TNA X Division title, or even reclaim my TNA World Heavyweight title that I lost due to outside interference. You all had fun speculating…" He let the words trail off, daring the crowd to respond. They obliged, boos, chants, even some slurred laughter.
"But I tell you what," Sandro said next. "I will destroy your fun, so enough with the guessing games. I read your threads. I watched your memes. And I decided… tonight, I'll tell you."
He raised a hand, letting the tension build.
"My eye isn't on the World Heavyweight belt."
He paused as boos swelled.
"And it's not on the tag straps either."
Redoubled jeering.
"My target… is the TNA X DIVISION TITLE."
Silence.
Then shocked murmurs.
Sandro paused as if relishing the impact. Alexa, standing close, nodded like the truth had just been handed down as prophecy.
"AJ Styles," Sandro pointed at the screen, voice steady and direct, "you're next. That belt around your waist? You won't even know what hit you when you realize I have claimed that belt."
The boos were thunderous, an eruption of disbelief, outrage, and raw energy.
"This challenge isn't just from me," Sandro continued, voice rising. "It's from all of us. The Undisputed System is coming for that title. And we will take it."
He dropped the mic.
The rest of the Undisputed System flooded into the ring, flanking him as the camera zoomed in on their cold, dominant postures. The screen then cuts to black.
As Impact ended, social media exploded. Sandro's bold announcement sent ripples across wrestling circles:
On Twitter, #SandroInTNA retweeted 50K+.
#XDivisionWar and #UndisputedInvades surged.
Fans posted heated discussions. World Title? Tag? X-Division? Dust up comments filled each thread.
Meanwhile, on TNA and FCW Forums, fans argued over Sandro's audacity. Some celebrated the fresh direction, others insisted he was just afraid of Lashley that's why he didn't target the Heavyweight belt.
AJ Styles, kayfabe, struck first. On Twitter tagged @AJStylesOrg, he responded, "Not afraid of your mind tricks, Sandro. If you're man enough, come and face me like a man, not hiding behind your guards. #TNA"
The reply came fast and cold from Sandro's account, "You will face me… and your reign ends before you even realize it began. #XDivisionBurningDown"
These two tweets ignited a big firestorm. Wrestling blogs take asvtage of the situation and ran headlines in all caps: "X Division Showdown: AJ Styles vs. Sandro Zhang?" Fan forums were ablaze, social media discussions raged through the night, and speculation continued to evolve with every passing hour. But while the world was talking, the Undisputed System was already moving.
