"Cos bedtime

Is the right time

To fight crime

I can't think of a rhyme

Pjay... (beep)" Emily switched off the Television set.

She stretched as she kept the remote on the center table. She looked at the wall clock, it was 8:37am, and apart from the sound in the kitchen, the house was still as quiet as midnight. She strolled lazily to the kitchen in her pyjamas, and found Archer drying the dishes.

She attempted to greet, but recalled what occurred the previous night, so she decided to be upset with him.

"Good morning Emily... I hope you had a great night?" Archer said at the sight of her, but got no reply from her. He turned to stare at her, and she was by the refrigerator, staring in it.

"Emily, Good morning, hope you had a good night?" he asked again, this time staring at her, but she didn't budge.

"Emily!" He exclaimed, and she simply stared at him.

"I said good morning" he said, getting a bit upset.

"What's so good about the morning?" she finally said.

Archer lifted a brow in confusion.

"What was that stunt you pulled last night?" she questioned, sensing his confusion.

"What stunt...? Oh... now I see what the sass is about..." Archer replied, sounding amused.

"What's funny?" Emily asked.

"Nothing's funny... okay Miss, I'm sorry about last night, I was in so much hurry that I had to leave without telling you, and you didn't at all tell me not to leave, so I did leave because you told me not to and..."

"...Okay fine, I get it, it's my fault" Emily cut in.

"No, it's not your fault, I'm sorry I left without your notice"

Archer finally said calmly.

"Forgiven?" he asked, and she nodded with a wide smile.

"So, Mr Archer, you're trying to tell me that you also wear hand-gloves doing the dishes?" Emily asked, staring at the rubber gloves Archer had on.

"These babies work good in water, it's not a problem, they are purely made out of rubber" Archer replied, scanning the gloves with his eyes.

Emily rolled her eyes.

"I'll be going out by 9:00am, and I will like cornflakes for breakfast" Emily instructed.

"O...kay, that's not problem, you have less than thirty minutes to shower, get dressed, and have breakfast" Archer replied, staring at his empty wrist like he was reading the time on a wrist watch.

Emily chuckled and walked out.
