Still a Secret? II

Archer turned to Leelam, but the man just walked back into their house.

He looked up at the sky, the sun had already gone in, and it was dusk. He sighed, his eyes showing remorse.

He lowered his sight back to Emily, and then to Dylan whose mouth hung open. Dylan had seen Shania before, and Emily had earlier explained what she had seen from Archer, but this sight was nothing like he had imagined. Archer looked way worse than Shania.

Emily was shaken, she had not seen this much, coupled with the fact that the white-headed creatures were still holding them captive. She felt lightheaded.

“What are you doing here?” Archer finally said, his gaze softening at every step towards them. Both were quiet.

He signalled his people to free them, and they obeyed. Emily walked slowly towards him. She stopped right before she would clash with him. She scanned him from head to toes. Head to claws rather.

Archer stood, waiting for her to marvel to her satisfaction.
