The mystery woman.

“Darling, are you okay?” she asked. The man was now panting hard.

“Are you alright?” she asked again. He nodded slowly, before he turned to face her. He gazed at her like he was taking note of every single detail on her face.

“It was just a nightmare okay? It isn’t real” she consoled as she patted his back. He nodded before he rested his back on the bed stead.

“Want to talk about it?” she asked. He shook his head negatively.

“Sorry for waking you, you go back to sleep, I’ll go get some water to drink, I’ll be back” he said when he finally found his

voice.

“Okay” she said briefly before she laid back on the bed.

He stood and sighed before he walked away from the room. His wife watched him walk away. She sighed.

Williams pulled open the refrigerator door and grabbed a bottle of water. He walked slowly to the dining room to take a seat. His heart was still thudding in his chest.

“What’s wrong with me?” he soliloquized.
