Chapter 8

The others present looked over at the scene. Lisanna and Cana stared in confusion, wondering what the blonde did that got their usually calm friend so riled up but that one sentence told them everything they needed to know Lucy hurt Minerva Rolan, whom Sylvia was deathly possessive over, "so I told her the truth." Lucy scoffed, igniting a fire of anger in the bluenette's eyes Sylvia tackled the blonde to the ground, letting her fists convey her pure hatred and anger towards the blonde.

Minerva and the others rushed into the studio to witness Sylvia continuing to punch the blonde. "Sylvia." Reiki pulled her away. "Get your hands off me." She ripped her arm out of his grip. "You! I thought you loved her! Why would you cheat on her with this woman?" Sylvia asked, pointing at Rufus, "I didn't cheat!" Rufus defended, "You could've fooled me." Kagura scoffed. "I'll have you fired for this!" Lucy stood up with the help of Rufus. "Oh, thank you so much, your highness, for freeing me from you and driving me to the point of insanity," Sylvia said, which left the blonde sputtering once again. "W-what?" Lucy stuttered, "Eh, well, I was considering resigning from the very place you parade your ugly ass." Sylvia shrugged, "But I really should've done this." She pulled a contract. "This is the contract your father signed with the sorcerer weekly and me, right?" She held up the paper. "Yes, so you're going to work for me whether you like it or not," the blonde said with a proud smile despite her broken nose, split lip, and slightly bruised eye.

Sylvia smirked at the heartfelt heiress before ripping the paper in two, then four, and continuing to rip it into small pieces. "How dare you? My father will hear about this," Lucy fumed. "Oh yeah?" Juvia stepped up, taunting the blonde. "save your drowning career and reputation first, Ms Hoshino," Erza said with crossed arms. "what?" she asked as Kagura held up the screenshots of her texts to Minerva. "This is proof enough that you were the one who sent them." Kagura said, "Well, then see you in court, Ms. Hoshino." Yukino said it was a good thing she studied to be a lawyer and her former occupation was a lawyer. "Get out," Akira said as the blonde stormed out. "if you come in a mile radius of my best friend, a broken nose isn't the only thing you'll be sporting, Rufus." Sylvia jabbed her pointer finger into the blonde's chest. "I won't be the one beating you; it will be Ultear." Everyone looked at the ravenette, who cracked her knuckles with a wicked smile on her face. It scared the ones present. The four boys who were with them had even hugged each other for dear life "Now get out of my sight".

Needless to say, Lucy's modelling career had completely sunk. Heartfilia's contract with Sorcerer Weekly ended, something Jason and the owner were both glad happened, and Minerva moved out of her shared apartment with Rufus.

Sylvia looked up from her camera lens and said, "Hmm? Oh, it's you," she said to the redhead who stood in front of her. "I want a redo," he said. "I beg your pardon." Sylvia's brows furrowed. "I want you to rewrite this article for me." Reiki pushed the article into her hands. "hey! be careful! This camera's very expensive." Sylvia pulled the camera to her chest and said, "I'll buy you a new one." Reiki said, "No thank you; I'd much rather not take gifts from a stranger." She said, "Look, just rewrite this; it's really messing up my life." Reiki was firm in his order, "fine but on one condition." Sylvia agreed, "I am not going to-" "If I do find a fault that is just plain terrible, you have to accept it." Sylvia cut him off by this point; she knew that the boy had a poor opinion of her. "Okay, come to my apartment tomorrow." Reiki agreed, earning a weird look from Sylvia: "That probably wouldn't be a smart move since I do have a reputation for leading men on before breaking their hearts." Sylvia said, "I'm not stupid enough to fall for you, Sylvia." Reiki said, "You never know, Mr. Bushida, now smile." She brought her camera up to her eye and asked, "What?" she clicked a photo and said, "Okay, first shot for the article, perfect." Sylvia looked down at her camera.

Juvia stared at the pink-haired man in front of her in disbelief. "Who are you and why are you here?" Juvia asked, putting on her stone face, "Um, I want your help." Juvia raised a brow, looking the pinkette over.

The pinkette was in business attire Now that she looked him over, this man seemed awfully familiar to her. She remembered that he was the former CEO, Neil's son and Zen's younger brother, Natsu Hinata, a famous businessman "What exactly do you need my help with, Mr. Hinata?" Juvia asked as Natsu opened his mouth to explain the situation to her. "Fine," Juvia agreed. "Thank you!" The cheerful businessman flung his arms around the bluenette.

"What can I do for you?" Yukino asked, noticing the blonde at her desk, "Oh, hey!" Sting Hisui greeted the white-haired beauty, "Yes, what may I help you with, sir?" Yukino didn't bother greeting him back "Well, I'm throwing this party," Sting replied a bit, unnerved by the girl's lack of greeting. "Oh, then please come this way and we'll show you photos of decor," Yukino said, leading the blonde through the doors to the main office, which she shared with Kagura. "A new customer?" Kagura nodded at the blonde and said, "Yeah.".

"You!" Minerva and Rogue yelled, pointing at each other, as they saw each other in the apartment they own—well, in Minerva's case, just bought a few seconds ago—and Bob, the owner of the building, looked between the two mages and said, "It is lovely; you two already know each other!" Bob clapped his hands together. "What is s/he doing here?" they both asked at the same time, shooting the other a glare. "Oh, this is Rogue Kagero, who lives here, and this is Minerva Rolan; she's your new roommate." The two looked absolutely shocked that they were going to be sharing an apartment together. "I'll leave you to talk then." Bob left the apartment, leaving the two alone. "I have such bad luck," Rogue groaned. "You? Excuse me, but I'm the one with terrible luck." Minerva said, cursing at her luck.

"You're a police officer?" Jellal asked as Erza rolled her eyes before crossing her arms, "I'm here to investigate a murder, Mister...." Erza said that although the guy was cute, she had a feeling they weren't going to get along very well. "So, please cooperate with me," Erza said, taking out a notepad and pen to write down any key points in case he knew something.

And so starts their journey together...
