Crushed and Dumped

April was running so fast in so much panic. She felt her heart pounding loudly inside her chest. It was as if it would burst out from within her if she carried on running this way. But then escape was her goal so she didn't care if she ended up collapsing.

It was very dark so she couldn't see where she was going. Therefore, she stumbled every now and then. But she would get up and run some more. She felt pain from inside and out. Still, it didn't matter. In fact, she'd rather die in her attempts to purchase freedom than remain a prisoner forever.

Unfortunately, she had no choice but to keep doing this because being imprisoned for a long time in her condition was driving her crazy even more.

From afar, April heard the voices of the men in dark suits who were running after her. They were like a pack of wolves pursuing her to eat her up alive. She heard their mocking laughter, like howls of triumph. They knew she couldn't outrun them, not in this state.

"Help, please help me! Can anybody hear me?"

April shouted in panic, at the same time, pleading for someone to save her, somebody to protect her from these crazy men. She couldn't make out where they were by now. Her vision was starting to blur.

"You stupid woman! No one can hear you here! Nobody can help you! So, quit running!"

She heard one of the men in suits shout from behind her. Another set of jeering followed, which she didn't care to listen to anymore.

April was so exhausted by now with all the running she has been doing and the stress over what will happen when these men got to her. She was not sure how long or how far she had been running.

Suddenly she felt an excruciating pain coming from her belly. Her legs gave way. Then, she fell to the ground. She reached to touch her belly. That was when she realized that her belly was like a huge inflated balloon. She's pregnant!

"Oh my gosh!"

April blurted out, realizing for the first time her predicament. How could she haven't noticed that? What was going on?

Terror enveloped her whole being.

"Ahhhhhh!"

She screamed loudly, but her scream sounded like a banshee's screeching, which was terrifying even for her.

Shadows danced in her vision. That was when she noticed that the men who were running after her, had finally caught up with her.

They circled around her like vultures toying with their prey. Their smiles looked all the same. Their expressions were of a predator ready to kill.

"Please, have mercy on me. Please, don't hurt me. My baby, I will have my baby!"

April repeatedly pleaded to these men. In her fatigue, her voice was almost inaudible.

However, the men in dark suits ignored April's pleading. They started moving towards her. Two of the men held her down as if she can still protest from her present situation.

She heard a rip and knew what they would do to her.

"Vincent..."

She heard herself scream but in truth, it came out only as a whisper.

"The boss can't help you. He let this happen to you."

She heard one of the men, holding down her head, whispered in her ear. This brought chills down her spine, along with the continuous ache in her swollen belly.

The deafening laughter continued as she felt the frequent stab of pain from her belly and from down there.

"My baby..."

April said like a prayer.

However, her words were only carried by the wind.

These men planned to harm April and there was nothing she could do.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

April screamed once more in terror and anguish.

Then, April woke up and realized she had a nightmare. She looked around her and realized she was still in the basement prison.

However, just like in her nightmare, she was surrounded by the men in black suits with crazy, hungry looks of lust in their expressions.

"What are you doing here?"

April attempted to sit up, but one of the men was quick enough to hold her down. She was not able to resist, with her big belly, which made her movements sluggish.

"Vincent sent us here."

The other one in front of her replied with a sneer on his face.

"Nooooooo!"

April protested, realizing her nightmare was about to become a reality. Terror took hold of her.

"Please, please, stop."

April pleaded weakly. She closed her eyes, knowing that this was real and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Silent tears welled from her closed eyes. She felt her entire body trembling from the gruesome fate she was in.

Soon, she lost all consciousness.

When April woke up again, she didn't attempt to open her eyes. The ache she felt throughout her body was undeniable. Therefore, she knew that what had happened to her was not just a nightmare, but a reality. But then, she refused to believe it, so she kept her eyes shut.

April didn't want to see herself as well as her surroundings, aware that she was still held imprisoned in a cell, kept hidden in a basement. However, she felt a gust of wind blow against her face. She was startled because she recalled that there wasn't any window. Suddenly, she sensed that she couldn't hear the sound of air-conditioning.

April abruptly opened her eyes. She was shocked by the darkness of the night. As she lay motionless, with her back against the ground, her eyes gazed upward towards the sky. There were a few stars shining but the moon was hiding behind a cloud. She stayed that way for a while, trying to assess her capability to move as well as the sudden freedom of being here outside.

By now her other senses started to function. She could smell the rotten smell of waste around her. She also felt the dank and wet surface where she lay.

Without standing from where she lay, she realized that she was by the garbage dump.

Along with her body regaining some of its senses, she felt the excruciating pain in her belly once more. She reached to touch it. That was when she felt and finally came to know that baby there was gone!

"Nooooooo!"

She exclaimed in despair which made her whole system shut down again. She felt like dying now.

April stayed there, truly motionless, waiting for death to come.
