Come Back

When Sally came out of the bedroom, she was surprised to see April having her coffee early in the morning. April had not returned to their apartment and had not gone to Washington for a long time since she started working in Vincent's company. However, both mother and daughter did not miss April at all. They were only after her money to pay for the rent and occasionally greasing some extra dollars for Kathy's whims.

"So, good morning, April. You've finally remembered going home. Have you paid the rent for this month?"

Sally asked April, as a form of greeting. She was already dressed up for her shift at the restaurant. She poured coffee for herself and glanced at her reflection in the mirror to check how she looks. She did not even bother to glance at April, sitting in the dining area.

"Oh, Sally, it's you. Yes, I have deposited the money in Mrs. Reese's bank account. I already paid for the next month as well. I feel bad that our payment was always late before."
