In the outpour of rain, a boy stands beside a lamppost with his palm pushed against the pole supporting him, blood coming from his mouth. His vision begins to blur as he lets out a prayer.
"Oh God, as my mortal shackles fade into death, I beseech you to be with your presence, let my soul find solace in your arm. I have lived my days as your servant. For all my life you are my guide, and I know you will also guide me after death. Please, my Lord, let me be with you in paradise."
At the end of the prayer, his life faded as the life he lived flashed before him.
"Elias my son, whenever everything feels hopeless, I hope you remember, always pray to God."
"Elias, remember that 'Love is patient, love is kind,' as the scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:4. May these words guide your heart and actions on your journey."
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven"
"Elias, God will always find a way"
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
"My angel Elias, I'm sorry"
