CHAPTER ONE

Chapter One

My name is a Eren Miller and I'm 23 years old. I live with my mom(Audrey Rivera),my younger brother(Julian Miller),my step dad (Ethan Miller)and step brother(Nathan Miller). Even though we're family,my step dad doesn't take care of my brother and I. I work as a cashier in cafe and that is how I take care of my brother,Julian and myself. The funny thing is that , my mom sometimes gives me money but behind my step dad cause when he finds out it wouldn't be a good thing. Aside the fact that my step dad doesn't like us,my step brother is a pain in the neck. He always gets away after bullying us and no one complains. Sometimes I wish my mom could stand in for us but I know it'll never happen.

"Eren, have you thought about the offer?"A friend of mine asked me after offering me a lift home.

"Yes! But no thanks."

"Why? It's a good offer."

"Listen Darren,I can't be sleeping around with guys just because I need money. My job is good enough to take care of Julian and I."

" How about your debts, how are you going to pay cause I know your step dad won't help you and your mom is scared to help because of your step dad." He asked with a concerned look.

" Don't worry, I'll figure something out besides I've saved some money."

"If you say so,I was just trying to help."he said and shrugged.

"And I really appreciate it."

We finally arrived at my house and I got down ."Thanks for the lift"I thanked him and he drove away.I entered the house and it was dead silence,it felt strange and awkward at the same time because anytime I arrive home Julian waits for me by watching his favorite TV show but today seems different. I decided to look around for him . I got to the hallway and began to call out to his name .

" Julian....are you home?" I called out yet no response. I checked our room but he wasn't there. I decided to check the rest of the room even though my step dad strongly prohibits me . Julian is not the type to go out and even if he does he either ask if permission or goes with me besides it's almost 11pm so where could he possibly go by this time .
