The meridians which were about to dug into Fey Wesonga stopped midway. The vague images of Lazy Wafula and Fey Wesonga started coming back into this being and as he continued to hear Fey Wesonga's voice, the vague images became even more pellucid. The meridians then slithered back to his chest retracting while his red inferno eyes dimmed, turning back to their usual black color. The air of divinity also cancelled out...

The air of divinity calmed down and dissipated utterly as if it was never there in the first place. The coldness and emotionless on his face still lingered. It seemed like the air of divinity was deeply rooted in his essence in that his already cold nature was upped even further. His face was as if was not meant to smile let alone laugh.

Previously, Lazy Wafula might have at least afford a slight smile but right now, that was not even something that can be possible. He had become an entity out of this world, an entity that knows no emotions. To him, this world was puny for his existance. The people on it were like ants in front of him that he can just crush if needed. Allowing them to live was like him being merciful to their pity existance or else he would have swept all of them out.

Lazy Wafula released his grip on Fey Wesonga's neck making him fall on to the ground.

"Man, what is wrong with you? You became like a beast from hell and I was so afraid that you were going to eat me up." Fey Wesonga tried to sound him out though he was respectful not daring to anger the beast in front of him.

"You can take that beast and I will take the other one." Lazy Wafula said to Fey Wesonga nonchalantly and waved his hand dismissively.

"I won't dare! You are the one that killed them, I didn't do a thing and only stood here like a fool. I don't deserve the spoils." Fey Wesonga quickly said fawningly. Who would dare stand before this beast? The guy almost killed him. He feared that a slight mistake of his will make Lazy Wafula displeased and then his head will roll the next moment.

"Just do as I said. I will be needing your help to show me around, so you need to be powerful to do that." Lazy Wafula said before walking towards the corpse of the smaller Wood River.

Fey Wesonga stood there petrified. He didn't knew what to do, if he should go on with what Lazy had just said or not. "Are you sure man with what you have just said?" He wanted to confirm. But Lazy Wafula remained quite not wanting to be perturbed.

Lazy Wafula allowed his meridians to extend and just like earlier, they wriggled around the bone of his arm up to his hand and dug into the soft skin of the Wood River. Like a chain, they parted and distributed themselves inside the body of the Wood River and started absorbing its blood energy.

_"Beep"

"Yes!" Lazy exclaimed without thinking.

Lazy Wafula then willed his interface window to see his gains. Unlike the little Wood River which gave him seven blood energy, this Wood River gave him eight blood energy.

He saw that his mortal level one blood energy bar had increased from eight to sixteen while his state of health had gone all the way from excellent to wounded. On the other hand, his strength had increased to sixteen from eight while his energy points had increased from ten to thirty. He had killed three Wood Rivers, so his energy points after the kill became thirty because he gains ten energy points for each level one mortal beast killed.

After seeing his gains, he shifted his gaze at his wound where the Wood River had pierced through with its tongue. Because he has cut its tongue in to two previously, the part that had separated from the Wood River was still stuck in his shoulder. Due to gaining that dark soul wisp of attribute enhancing, his constitution had underwent a transformation and thus, the corrupting ability of the tongue was no longer effective to him. The blood energy of the several Wood Rivers that he had killed run through his meridians.

It made him feel like a Wood River when the air of dark divinity was no longer active. One should know that cultivators needed to cleanse themselves of the beastial aura in their blood energy that they absorbed from beasts so that their blood energy can condense.

They cleanse themselves using the spiritual energy that was found in their home planets as the cultivation planes didn't have this spiritual energy. A cultivation plane like the undead cultivation plane where Lazy Wafula was, had dark energy as opposed to spiritual energy found in planets.

Of course if the cultivators of undead cultivation plane absorbed this dark energy from the earth, the energy would be pure without the beastial aura and they would not be required to cleanse themselves but that process was too slow and tasking for the mind.

Anyway, the tongue which was still stuck in his shoulder was undergoing changes. The element which it had was also inside Lazy Wafula not to mention the Wood River's blood energy in his dantian.
