Red Thread and a Decision Part II

Until the princess revealed that the person who went to help the goddess, as a matter of fact, was her husband Siegfried. And that made their argument even more serious.

Siegfried's forgetting pills began to wear off and he began to recognize that the goddess was the one he loved. So, he tried to patch things up and explain the truth, but it did not work.

The goddess thought that this was a lie and that it was a plan of the couple trying to ridicule her.

The goddess, therefore, planned to take revenge by telling Gunnar to kill Siegfried. But he refused to do it himself.

The goddess tried to ask Gunnar's relatives, but no one was able to contend with Siegfried.

So, they had to use a potion to order Guthorm, Gunnar's youngest brother, to kill Siegfried in his sleep.

Guthorm did it. But he also died because of Siegfried's sword.
