Chapter 929: The Rooster and the Boss

Master Shu said from behind, "Ma Lin, are you up to the task or not?"

Ma Lin was a bit afraid of this rooster, but he said through his lips, "Yes, watch me."

He charged at it, circled to its side, and tried to leap onto its back while it launched an attack; he dodged while continuing to look for an opportunity.

He recalled a short video he had seen; a mammal the size of a cat hunting a pika. At first, the pika had easily kicked the hunter away, but the hunter did not give up and after two more tries, jumped onto the pika's back and clamped onto its neck, refusing to let go.

The pika kept shaking its head, and Ma Lin felt it would be fine, because the hunter was really small, less than a quarter of the pika's size, and seemed to be shaken quite badly. Yet, within less than a minute, the pika had fallen to the ground, motionless.

The fierce and cunning little hunter had successfully killed the larger creature.

Ma Lin didn't know why he thought of this video.
