Competition part 1

"We will compete in three areas, whoever wins at least two will be the chief of our tribes." Everyone was perplexed, as not even Martins or Max and the other subordinates of Alex knew anything about it; they thought he was going to challenge them to a traditional combat duel. This competition caught everyone by surprise.

Appearing pensive, Scar asked what the areas of this competition would be.

"So, what will these areas be?" Scar asked.

With a slight smile, Alex explained how the competition would unfold.

"We will have three duels. First, we will choose a champion to represent us. Then we will have a group battle, five on my side and five on yours. Finally, a battle between you and me," Alex said.

"Ah, so you propose a battle to test our subordinates, another for our leadership, and to finish, our personal strength, am I right?" Scar asked.

"Exactly. So, regardless of who wins, there will be no doubt about who is the best," Alex said.

"Alright, when do we start? I am ready whenever you are," Scar said.

"No need to rush. You have to plan with your tribe, and I also have to plan things with mine," Alex said.

Nodding in acknowledgment, Scar said, "So, shall we start tomorrow?"

"I think that's best and fair for both sides. What do you think?" Scar asked.

Agreeing with Scar, Alex said, "Alright, then we'll see each other tomorrow. May the best one win," extending his hand to finalize the agreement between them, they shook hands.

Watching this scene, members of both tribes were curious as to why their leaders had joined hands like that.

Each going their separate ways, Scar gathered the most important members of his tribe to discuss how they would handle this competition.

"I think we don't have much to worry about. We just need to win two. They have an advantage with their weapons, but we are individually stronger. We'll definitely win the first and last competition. The question is, after we win, whether they'll really bow down," an elder from Scar's tribe said.

"I think you're too old to judge correctly. It may not seem like it, but they defeated a guardian. I still believe we should take this seriously," another elder said.

"You're just a coward! How did they kill that guardian? Did any of you see it? I believe they used some trick to accomplish such a feat," the first elder said.

"I may be a coward, but you remain stubborn! Anyway, it's the chief who will decide this. What do you think, sir?" the other elder asked.

Ah, these old men, they're still the same. Since I was little, these two always disagreed on everything. If they weren't useful, I would have let them kill each other a long time ago.

That's why I started calling them "Elder Right" and "Elder Left," since they always opposed each other's ideas.

"The Elder Left is right. We cannot underestimate them. We need to win the first and at least give them a hard time in the second. As for the third, I'll handle that," Scar said.

Though he seemed irritated, Elder Right could only agree. "Alright, but I still believe you two are overestimating these outsiders. But I think we need an explanation, chief," Elder Right said.

"What do you want to hear, Elder?" Scar asked.

"It's difficult for me anymore. I agree with Elder Right. Are you going to easily hand over the tribe like this? To a stranger we've only known for a few days! And are you going to give the tribe to him without even talking to us? You may be the chief, but you can't just change the tribe's chief whenever you want," Elder Left complained.

Sighing, Scar changed his naturally serious and charismatic face to a cold one, devoid of emotions, as if looking at a living glacier.

"Listen here, who do you think you are? Am I your chief because why? Because you chose me? No, I am your chief because you had only two choices: obedience or something worse than death. So don't come and question my decisions. During this competition, you will fight, but we will lose. That's my decision. Is that clear?!"

Lowering their heads, the elders could only nod and agree, "We won't question you again. Please forgive us."

humpf "Let this not happen again." Scar said.
