Chapter 14

Got to the hospital Olivia, it may be serious, he said worriedly. It's nothing Dylan, I'll be fine. He sighed, knowing I wouldn't listen. Okay fine, take care of yourself. Goodnight love. I blew him a kiss and hung up. I should've put on makeup, I mumbled. I dimmed the light and fell asleep in no time.

My phone blared loudly as the alarm rang nonstop. I cussed as I dismissed it and turned on the lights. I can't believe it's morning already. I lazily washed my hair and did the laundry, cussing nonstop as everything annoyed me.

I ate the leftover food I saw in the refrigerator and was about to take my medications when the doorbell rang. I cussed under my breath, thinking it was Kathy.

I opened the door and was about to yell at her but was in for a shock when I saw Dylan at my doorstep. We stood there for few minutes, staring at each other. I enveloped him in a tight hug and he wrapped his arms around me, patting my head gently.

We pulled apart after a few minutes. Why didn't you tell me you were coming back today? We talked last night. I missed you so badly, seeing you last night just made me realize I needed to see you as soon as possible. He came in and saw the drugs on the table.

Why didn't you tell me earlier that you were sick? It's nothing. I didn't want to stress you. Let's go to the hospital, he said. Dylan…..

I won't take no for an answer Olivia, let's go.

Throughout the ride I kept finding excuses not to go but he was so stubborn. We arrived at the hospital and he dragged me to the doctor's office. They did a few tests and I waited nervously for the results.

Ma'am you really need to rest. You're fine medically, but you need to rest. Else it may damage your brain. She turned to Dylan. Sir, can I speak to her privately? Oh sure, I'll wait for you at the reception, Dylan said and left me alone with the doctor.

Ma'am, I didn't want to speak in front of your partner to avoid issues. Yeah, I figured, thanks by the way, I said and forced a smile. To be honest ma'am, you shouldn't abort any pregnancy that comes your way. It may be the last one you're ever going to have.

The test results showed that your womb is really fragile. So there's a chance that I can actually be pregnant? Yeah there is, the doctor replied. I won't abort it if I actually get pregnant, thanks doctor. Can I go now? Sure you can, just remember to take your drugs. The doctor scribbled something on a paper and gave it to me. You can buy these drugs at the pharmacy. I heaved a sigh of relieve as I left the doctor's office.

I was looking for Dylan when I saw a bunch of trainee nurses staring and giggling over something. Curious, I stood beside them and was surprised to see them looking at Dylan. He's so good looking, I want him to be the father of my kids, a nurse said. I'd do anything just to touch his perfect face, another one said. Did you see his car? He's freaking rich! A nurse said. Should I ask him out? One said. Too bad, he came here with his wife. They turned to leave and almost bumped into me.

Their face went white as a ghost when they realized I heard everything. So you want my husband huh? No…not at all ma'am…we wouldn't dare. That's good to hear, now scram, I said and they ran away like headless chickens.

Dylan spotted me and came to me. What's wrong? Do you know them? I don't, let's go. He didn't ask me about my private meeting with the doctor, which I was grateful for. We arrived at his house and I asked him what's been on my mind since.

Dylan, do you want kids?
