Chapter Eight

Time flew by quick and the royal party for Prince Lucius return was already here. The past week flew fast as Elara began walking on eggshells thinking about the night that she was caught by Prince Lucius and hoped he won't bring up the matter in front of his mother but it seemed he was barely seen due to his duties.

Elara was looking forward to the celebration but she wondered if she would be able to attend it since servants weren't allowed except those serving but hoped since she was a Lady's maid there should be an exception right.

Orders were given that the palace should be decorated and Lady Celestia decided to leave the palace and head to the market to get some things.

It has been a while since Elara left the palace and and she missed her family so much. Anna has become her family, her husband her kids. Elara so them as her family and sometimes wondered where her biological parents where.

All she was told was she was found in the alley way and she didn't remember how she got there and she had no memories of anything else.

After they got to the artisans shop, Lady Celestia gave Elara a list of items she wanted to gift Prince Lucius and asked her to go get them.

Elara saw her brother in the stall selling some wood cravings.

"Hey, Eamon!" she said with a big smile as she walked over to where he stood. He looked to Elara and grinned and gave her a hug the moment she got next to him

"Elara, it's been too long.Mom told us about your promotion. We would have a big dinner when you are able to come home". Elara laughed

"What are you doing here? I heard about the celebrations?"

" Lady Celestia wanted to visit some tailors herself and she asked me to get some items that's why I'm here"

They walked through the market, catching up on everything that had happened between them . Elara shared stories with Eamon while looking out for the items she needed to get.

Back in the palace, in the afternoon, on one of the longest balconies of the halls that led to the garden, sat the Mother Queen and King Arthur . They were having their afternoon refreshments when one of the ministers came to meet them.

The Mother Queen's eyes moved to the corner to look at where the minister stood and questioned, "How are the princes doing?"

The minister bowed and replied, "They have been working hard in the practice battle ground, My Queen. But…"

" What is it?" the Mother Queen ordered, knowing there was no way things could go smoothly when it concerned the princes.

"Prince Aiden got injured but managed to stay throughout .Prince Caspian has injured his knee," the minister replied. "Prince Alex had a sprained ankle while Prince Kylo disappeared"

Mother Queen laughed dryly. She was unimpressed at their performances and didn't expect much from them anyways.

" Everyone knows your favorite. It's glaring" King Arthur said before taking a sip of his drink.

" I wonder why"she added

Mother Queen excused herself and walked back to into the palace and she caught sight of Lucius.

"Good afternoon grandmother" Lucius greeted

" Where have you been?"Mother Queen inquired with a smile.

" I had some duties to attend to. Is there a particular reason why you were looking for me?"

" There would be princesses and women of high status attending the celebrations. Don't you think it would be nice to choose one as your bride"

" I'm not the one sitting on the throne so it's not a problem"Lucius responded quickly.

" It's not about sitting on the throne. It's high time you got married."

" Grandmother don't worry about me " Lucius said as he held her hand in his and they continued walking.
