As the sun dipped below the horizon, Elara's carriage made its way through the streets, with the glow of lanterns that cast its light on cobblestone pathways.

Elara pulled the curtain of the carriage and took a deep breath with her eyes closed.

The carriage came to a stop in front of her home. It had been a while she was here. Even though she was allowed to go home . She barely left.

I guess all my hard work was finally paying off

Jacob, sat at the head of the wooden dining table, his grizzled hands pausing mid-gesture as he heard the approach of footsteps. Eamon and Ariel, her siblings, exchanged curious glances as they heard the knock on the door. They were confused as they weren't expecting anyone coming.
