A New Baron

Damien bit back a smile when Cotlin went as far as hugging Harold as if they were long lost relatives.

"Thank you, my lord. I truly respect your code of honor." Cotlin bowed slightly. "Do not mind my enthusiasm. After all, I am too excited about my nobility." Harold could not help but stare at the letter in his hands. The seal was authentic. No one could dare to copy the seal and signature of a royal family.

But the princess was known for her seclusion. She only meets a selected group of nobles. Even he had hardly met her. How could a commoner like Cotlin have an appreciation letter written by her?

But the seal could not be forged. The velvet letter with a diamond embroidered on it under the plating of gold. It was exclusive to the royal family.

"I apologize but I had to take it back for completing the process later." Harold blinked when Cotlin snatched the letter from his hands and placed it back in his pocket.
