Flaws

Eve smiled at herself as she went to the auction office the moment Harold and Elene left and claimed the amount of gold bags.

"Your.. your grace. But the lord and lady had left for the night." the auctioneer had wept looking at her. "How about we send your compensation to your palace?" he had offered with a fawning smile on his face. Other nobles would have fallen for it but she only walked in as if she did not hear him and settled herself on the plush chair.

"I was passing by here and heard about the bidding for my donated product. It crossed my expectations. Isn't it?" the man nodded instinctively and then shook his head but when he noticed Damien's gaze on him, he nodded again. The man looked familiar but the dominating gaze filled with a deathly aura was new to him. He cried without tears again.

In his decade-old career, this was the first time he had realized that presiding over an auction could get you killed.
