"Why did you not tell her the truth?" Carmen ignored the rage burning in Damien's eyes. He looked at the fire flickering in his hands with a bored look as he pushed his hands away from his shoulders.

"If you are so confident about her love, then you should not be following me? You should not be leaving hints she could not read. But you should be kneeling in front of her and accepting your sins." he spoke the words with a bored look on his face but his tone was full of mockery.
