Save Her

"You have arranged this for me?" she tilted her head and looked at the food with narrowed eyes. 

This was not what she had expected. 

"Yes, are you not exhausted?" He looked at her dress again. The pearls were pulled rather forcefully. It left a small tear near her shoulders. "You must change your clothes too. I will arrange some warm water in your room in the morning." like morning? She looked at the priestess who had dragged the food cart with a cold smile.

The priestess flinched and pursued her lips. 

"I did not know what you like to eat. But in the church, we mostly eat simple food. So there is porridge and salads. Oats and mashed potatoes too with fresh basil and cucumbers." as if on cue, her stomach growled. 

It was already close to evening and she had eaten nothing so far. She walked toward the cart but instead of using the cutlery provided, she took out a silver spoon from her pocket. It had a strange halo coming from it.
