The night after Ginger’s adventure at Blue Bloods, Harkin received a phone call. 


“Hello?” Harkin answered. His eyes widened before he scurried out of the living room. 


Ginger didn’t like her father’s reaction to whoever was on the other side of the phone. However, Keegan grabbed her attention. 


“I still can’t believe vampires are real,” he said with the same awe as he did at dinner. 


“I can’t believe your woman faced down a vampire,” Indigo muttered from where he was sprawled on the armchair. 


During dinner, Keegan had regaled them all with the story of what he and his mate had done earlier in the evening to get the attention of the vampires. It was all part of the plan Rowan approved of to weed out a vampire and give them a warning. 


Keegan smiled proudly at Justine. “She may be quiet and shy, but she’ll obliterate anyone who tries to hurt people.” He kissed her on the forehead.
