Benji POV
Benji awoke the next night with a smile on his face. Essentially, Ginger had agreed to marry him one day. That was all he needed to keep himself going forever.
He kept the pendant Ginger had given him hidden under his shirt so no one would question his new jewelry, but he was going to tell Olive about it after their family’s Christmas celebrations.
He walked over to his parents’ brownstone carrying a bag filled with gifts. He always loved seeing the reactions of his nephews and niece when they opened their presents. He wondered if one day he would get to watch his own children tear open presents on Christmas – his children with Ginger.
“It’s about time!” Forest complained as soon as Benji walked through the door. “We’ve been waiting forever to open presents.”
The Emeralds were all gathered in the living room, sitting around a tree that the kids had decorated.
“You already opened your presents from Santa at home,” Kelly told her son.
