Unintended Consequences

Saitama's money had started to dwindle, but he had managed to stretch it through discounts and sales that always seemed to be on his side. He was on the verge of a financial crisis, but he had resolved to endure it for a year. Haruto, being observant, noticed Saitama's financial struggle. He considered it an achievement that Saitama had managed to last this long after his intense training. Haruto decided to send some money to Saitama so he could withstand another year. The money was dispatched with a heartfelt note, thanking Saitama for saving their cleft-chinned kid.

Saitama, although initially hesitant to accept the money, found himself too broke to reject such a sum of money, so he decided to keep it.

The scene shifted to Haruto, sitting in his room, lost in deep thought while the television played in the background. Jeeves was in the room, absorbed in a game of chess with himself. Haruto decided it was the right time to test out his abilities.

As Jeeves was about to make a move in the chess game, Haruto gently placed his hand on Jeeves' shoulder, intending to ask him to accompany him. However, in the process, Jeeves was startled, and his hand moved more than just slightly.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh"

They both screamed in shock, both of their hands and faces went pale from the sudden jolt of movement. Without a second thought, Jeeves began packing up the chess pieces.

Haruto realized his grave mistake, knowing how much Jeeves cherished his chess games. Using his reverse time power, he swiftly returned all the chess pieces to their original positions, preserving the integrity of the game.

Haruto could sense the disappointment in Jeeves's eyes, and he decided to make amends. "How about we finish this game? I'd like to see if I can give you a good challenge."

Jeeves's eyes lit up, and he Said with evil Chuckle, "I would be delighted, sir. I will take revenge as a winner in this game of chess."

Once the game was completed as if nothing had happened, Haruto and Jeeves left the room.

They decided to go to a place rarely visited by anyone, a place with a significant history—it was the same location where Saitama and Genos had once engaged in a fierce battle, as depicted in the manga. A barren, rocky wasteland with a stark, desolate landscape. The ground was cracked and uneven, devoid of any vegetation. The sky was often overcast, adding to the gloomy atmosphere

As they walked through the area, Haruto started a conversation, "Jeeves, I'm sorry about the chess mishap. I didn't mean to startle you like that."

Jeeves, still a bit bewildered, managed a smile. "No need to apologize, Haruto. It was just unexpected, that's all."

Haruto nodded in appreciation. "I'll be more careful next time, I promise. But for now, let's focus on what we came here for."
