Stepping inside, Sienna looked around and soon confirmed that Lemiel wasn't in the room. Deciding to stay and wait for the vampire's arrival, she sat in a chair in front of a small table in the corner.
She didn't want to annoy Lemiel by not heeding his word. He was always unpredictable and she knew he could be ruthless if he wanted.
Meanwhile, in one of the chambers in the castle, Caius was talking to his daughter about what happened at the soiree. Blair was dressed in her night clothes and sitting on her bed, holding the blanket to her stomach.
Caius sat by her side, peering down at her with tender eyes. He asked his daughter, "Tell me, why did you do it?"
The young vampiress looked away, pouting.
"I don't think Lady Kate made silly advances to win me. She just arrived in town recently, so I don't understand why there was a need to do that, Blair."
