Fortunately, it wasn't long before they were out of sight of prying eyes.
Lemiel brought Sienna to his office. It was a spacious room with its own bedroom, bathing room, and lounge area. Candles were lit in the corners, but shadows still filled parts of the room. He placed Sienna on the couch and closed the door before vanishing to the other side of the room, beyond the tall wooden divider.
When he returned, he said to Sienna, "I've prepared a bath for you. You need to clean your wounds first so we can apply medicine."
"Am I going to stay here for the night?"
She looked around. She was sitting on a long couch and there were two more couches that looked comfortable enough to sleep on. She hadn't seen the other side of the room yet and assumed the duke's office wouldn't have a bed. And if there was one, she didn't expect Lemiel to let her sleep in it.
