No Bones in the Coffin

Sienna could do nothing but stare at the vampire with her mouth agape.

Lemiel placed her feet on his lap and held her heel in place as he applied ointment, starting with the cut on her ankle. After a few seconds, she pressed her lips together and sucked in her breath. Her heartbeat was unsteady with random skips whenever she felt a sting. However, she could see him trying his best to be gentle, his touch almost feathery.

She wondered when he had become so gentle.

While staring at the pureblooded vampire in front of her, Sienna noticed that he had changed his shirt while she was taking a bath. His earlier shirt had been black, but now it was a deep shade of red without a vest or tie and with the first two buttons undone. His face and arms were also free from blood stains.

It was then that Sienna realized there was a question she hadn't asked Lemiel, one she had been wanting to ask since she moved into his residence.
