What David saw behind him was an Elf, a woman with pointed ears.
She had long black hair and blood-red eyes with an age that looked to be in her mid-20s.
Her face was so pretty with pale white skin that it was hard to find anyone prettier than her.
She had a calm expression while her slightly reddish lips showed tenderness though not to the point of smiling.
Her appearance was quite simple, wearing only a rather tight short black dress.
Her long legs can be seen up to halfway up her thighs.
The Dark Elf Queen, Zara. David remembers clearly about her because her wallpaper was quite popular and many cosplayers cosplayed her figure and appearance despite the fact that she was just a historical figure in this game.
She was one of the seven members of the Nightmare Alliance. It was a group of villains who had disrupted Fairyland in the past that was so dangerous that the whole world united to defeat them.
They are all historical figures who were basically created in this game to enhance the romance of the story.
Whether they will appear again or not is something unknown now that the game's story is underway.
People can know what happened in the past, but not the future.
As David looked at her, the Elf said again, "Your Majesty, it must be very melting waiting for the resurrection, the others are also very exhausted so their minds are a little distracted. They need time to stabilize their minds and bodies. Fortunately, I am fine so I can accompany you right away. Don't worry, I will take care of everyone's work myself. We will embark on a journey to rule Fairyland once again. Time has passed, but without a doubt we are still the strongest."
David, "..."
David wondered what the Elf's words meant.
Actually, he even wanted to ask if she was really a member of the Nightmare Alliance. Why would she appear here?
Because every player can peek at the levels of the NPCs, so David finally peeked to make sure.
When he saw what appeared above the Elf's head, he instantly believed that she was real.
There, he saw the word (Primordial).
Unlike the players who have levels, NPCs or monsters in this game are divided into several classes.
It starts from Class D which is basically equivalent to Levels 1 to 10, then C, B, A, S, S+, SS, SS+, Legendary, and Primordial.
In total, there are ten classes which of course will only appear gradually as the world expands.
Primordial is, without a doubt, the Highest Class in Fairyland, it should still be a very long time before creatures in that class appear.
It's actually unknown if creatures of that class still exist. In the game's story, most of them are legends of the past.
If they appeared now, it would be no different from a disaster for players.
While still confused, David touched his face, realizing that he was actually wearing a mask.
He clearly remembered that it was a mask similar to a crow's face.
And now he was also called His Majesty the Crow.
Is there a connection?
When thinking about such a connection, David instantly decided not to take off his mask just yet in front of the Elf.
Fortunately he was the adaptive type as he was used to surprising situations, so he tried to stay calm.
Later, he just needed to find out what exactly the relationship between him and the Elf and the Nightmare Alliance was.
In the historical records, they were a group or an alliance, there were no records that said they had a master.
After a long silence, David said, "Long time no see, Zara, but for now, let's take our plan slowly. Maybe we can start from that village."
His tone of voice was relaxed as he said that, as if he was indicating that he was in a lazy mood to do something too big.
David didn't dare to take risks like asking questions and such because he still doubted his identity, so he chose to pretend that he knew the Elf well.
This was a game where every NPC was ensured to have the exact same intelligence as humans, so inevitably, every player had to act like they were dealing with humans in general or they would be in trouble.
Fortunately, he actually knew the name and life history of the Elf and the members of the Nightmare Alliance.
This is the advantage of reading the story of this game.
"You're right, Your Majesty," Zara replied as she looked around and continued, "the world has now undergone quite a few changes, so we do need to study the situation first."
"Yeah, it's been 500 years," David said in a low voice.
"Anyway, there's something we need to do first," he added.
"What is it, Your Majesty?" asked the Elf, instantly showing a curious expression as if she would always be curious when David wanted to do something she didn't know.
"Hold my hand," David replied as he extended his hand towards her.
Hearing that, the woman immediately took his hand, and it made David's eyes move strangely as he felt a very comfortable softness from her touch.
This game is completely the same as the real world, but it definitely needs high-quality leather to provide such comfort.
Right after that, a virtual screen appeared in front of David and Zara, surprising the latter.
On that screen, there were the words (do you agree to serve Dark Crow?)
"What is this?" said Zara.
She didn't seem to know at all, but it was actually one of the game's features for player and NPC relationships.
This feature will not bind the NPCs completely, only guarantees that the NPCs cannot harm the player connected to them, and allows the player to know the location of his NPCs.
Most importantly, it keeps the NPCs' information hidden so that others cannot peek at information such as their class.
David is going for a walk with Zara. Her face can be covered, but it will be problematic if someone peeks at Zara's class.
"It's a quirk of this world," David replied, saying nonsense as an excuse. "While awakening, I managed to absorb some information."
Such skills were of course non-existent, but David thought it was fine if he boasted a little. If his identity was the master for the members of the Nightmare Alliance, it was only natural that he had unexpected abilities.
Seeing Zara still looking confused, David finally continued the explanation, "basically some people become something called players and others become NPCs. I have become a player while you have become an NPC. If the NPCs don't follow the players, they will become Rogue NPCs so the players can see the NPCs' information."
It's fine to explain because that's what needs to be done if players want to have a relationship with NPCs.
Of course, it's a strange rule, but since NPCs have the same intelligence as players, a little honesty is necessary.
"How did the world change so much?" Zara knitted her brows, becoming more and more confused as she understood more.
Even so, she actually pressed the agree button on the virtual screen.
DING!
(Congratulations, you have successfully made a Primordial NPC into your NPC, you get a Primordial Level Weapon. The item can be found in your inventory.)
Suddenly David heard the voice of the Game System, telling him that he got a prize.
Something like this did have a reward, but David couldn't help but be dumbfounded when he heard what level the reward was.
Quickly, he opened his inventory to see.
Sure enough, there was a sword there, black in color with a faint glow.
(World Slaughtering Sword)
That was the name of the sword.
"Your Majesty, could it be that a certain creature came and disrupted the rules of this world?" said Zara after a moment's thought.
David wanted to laugh at her words, he thought, 'yeah, that's what the developers do.'
Unfortunately, that was impossible to tell Zara, so he replied, "maybe. That's why we have to be more careful."
"I'll tell the others," Zara replied and then put her hands over her ears and closed her eyes.
It was a method of communicating with magic, which could be done by high-level beings.
