All Faith could do was shake his head in the negative.
“I am so sorry.”
“It's not your fault, Anurak. And thank you for the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“It's nothing.”
“And I am sorry once again. I have asked my cousin to lift the ban, but he refused.”
“It's okay. Don't sweat on it anymore. As you can see, I am fine.”
“Okay.”
“My birthday is on the 15th. You can try again. I will send you the invite.”
Faith's eyes brightened at those words. He really couldn't come up with a means of seeing New after their discussion. He had promised not to stalk him again.
“Thank you, Anurak. I will definitely be there.”
“Me too,” Kæw chirped.
“Sure.” Anurak smiled at them.
Finally, Anurak watched as Faith with slumped shoulders was led away by Kæw. Once they entered an elevator, he opened his door and entered his room.
Getting back inside, Anurak found New seated on the three-seater couch, sipping a glass of wine.
“How did it go?”
