Realizing that he had touched her, Anurak quickly snatched his hands back. “Erm, sorry.”
“It's Okay.”
She opened the flask and the aroma of the dumplings filled the room. It did smell delicious, but Anurak wasn't in the mood for food.
“Just taste one of them and tell me if it is good.”
“You cooked it, but you do not know if it's good?” Anurak asked before he could stop himself.
Dao's eyes crumbled in disappointment, making him feel guilty. He quickly stood up and went to the kitchen to pick a spoon. When Dao saw the spoon in his hand, she smiled happily and eagerly waited for him to taste the food.
Anurak dipped the spoon into the flask and brought out an egg-sized white dumpling. It was steaming hot and fragrant. Maybe if Anurak was in a good place, perhaps he would be salivating. But presently, he just wanted to get rid of this girl and go back to sleep. Perhaps if he kept sleeping like that, time would quickly pass him by. The longer he stayed awake, the more he hurt.
