The Dæd-Câd Villa

The Dæd-Câd villa was a basic Chinese house with four wings and a courtyard smacked in the middle of it. Grandfather had bought the already dilapidated and falling apart house and land from a bankrupt family with every penny he had. At that time, the area where the house was located was considered to be out of the way, so the land came cheap. The former owners were old pig rearers and when they passed on, their kids probably needed money or just had no interest in maintaining such a huge estate, so they sold it.
