He is scared of you.

Just then, King's phone rang and he got distracted. It was his father. He wanted to ignore the call, but when he saw how uneven Anurak's breathing was, he sighed and took the call.

"Dad?" He snarled, not bothering to hide his annoyance.

"Let him go." A deep voice ordered from the other side. Without giving a response, King ended the call.

"Angel." King used two fingers to lift Anurak's face. "Look at me." He ordered in a soft voice. It was soft but also compelling. Anurak had no choice but to look up.

When their eyes met, the coldness was gone. Anurak was confused. It was as if he had imagined it. How could a person's mood swing so fast? Or was he the one reading too much into things?

King slowly rubbed his thumb on Anurak's lower lip, making him go stiff.

"Phi." Anurak tried to turn away from the fingertip. King recollected himself, dropped his hand, and took a single step back.

"It's okay. You can leave."

"Yes, Phi."

"I will see you out."
