This past week, King kept his distance physically, but they have been communicating online. The two of them tactically avoided talking about what happened at King's house, therefore Anurak had enough time to calm down and strengthen his mental state.
"But the lenses are the same shade
with my eyes." Anurak pointed out. He could feel a headache coming on.
"I know."
"Then it's not necessary."
"The lenses will enhance your eyes."
"Phi," Anurak grunted exasperatedly.
Seeing that he was pushing his luck, King stepped back.
"Okay. You don't have to if you don't want to. Your eyes are pretty just the way they are." King said with a sad, patronizing tone.
Anurak felt guilty but pushed it down. Apart from the fact that King's actions made him uneasy, he had never worn contact lenses before and couldn't risk it for such a big event.
"Thanks, Phi." He sighed as he ended the call.
